New reference material – Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center,

2626 E Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92806, USA

The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center is an intermodal transit center. It serves as a train station for Amtrak intercity rail and Metrolink commuter rail as well as a bus station used by the Orange County Transportation Authority, Anaheim Resort Transportation and various bus services.

The steel-framed building’s entrance is a 37m / 120-foot-tall glass wall. The structure has a compound curved shell that is covered with air-filled plastic pillows through which sunlight illuminates the interior. The arched roof is illuminated with multicolored lights visible from the surrounding area.

Rimex supplied 68,000 sq.ft (6,320 sq.m) of 304 grade stainless steel in its Granex™ (bead blast) finish in 16g / 1.5mm thick material for internal and exterior wall cladding.

Often a subtle, understated finish can make a bold statement. The Granex™ finish does just that and delivers big on appeal whilst remaining unobtrusive. The finish is produced by blasting a stainless steel sheet with glass beads to achieve a uniform matt surface with low reflectivity.

Bead blasting can also be applied to our ColourTex® (coloured) stainless steel and our T22™ (coloured) stainless steel product ranges.
