Nytt referensblad – Exeter College at Oxford University

In mid-September 2016, the 700 year old Exeter College at Oxford University opened the Cohen Quadrangle to form Exeter College’s Third Quadrangle in the heart of Oxford. The building combines undergraduate and graduate living accommodation for 100 students, a lecture hall, teaching rooms, social spaces and study facilities.

Designed by Alison Brookes Architects the building is characterised by its curved roof, the tiles for which are manufactured from ColourTex® coloured stainless steel from Rimex’s DesignScape Collection of metal finishes.

The stunning roof and the beautifully cleaned stonework shows how to best combine old materials alongside contemporary ones while retaining the original character of the building.

From our DesignScape™ Collection of metal finishes the new 4,200m2 of roof tiles are formed from Rimex’s ColourTex® Bronze Palladin and Champagne Palladin coloured stainless steel.

The Palladin ColourTex® material is 0.6mm thick, 316 grade stainless steel that was fabricated and installed by roof specialist Roles Broderick Roofing Ltd.

Bronze Palladin ColourTex® and Champagne Palladin coloured stainless steel are patterned stainless steels that have been coloured and then hi-lite polished to the top of the pattern to provide a sparkling effect to stainless steel.

ColourTex® coloured stainless steel is manufactured in black, blue, bronze, cannon bronze, champagne, charcoal, gold and rosy gold colours and in mirror and satin polishes, patterned and bead blast finishes.
